I am a 1973 Alumni of De Witt Clinton. Was influrenced by many great Teachers. Would like to find out what happened to the Teachers who Taught at clinton in 1973? Respectfully Dr Kolin Professor of Political Science
the names of teachers are: Biology - Mr Cioppa. English miss rose Kelly, miss Carolyn Cuomo. Social Studies- Mrs Erickson, Dr Fuchs, Mr Garvey, Mr Ederheimer, Mr Leventhal I look forward to your reply.
I have no news on Cioppa and Cuomo. Miss Rose Kelly became asst. principal of the English Dept at DWC before going on to be principal of Mother Cabrini High School in Upper Manhattan, but now retired. Mrs. Erickson moved many years ago to Illinois. Dr. Fuchs retired and moved down south (sorry don't remember where) to be near his daughter. Mr. Garvey became an attorney but continued to teach at DWC until his retirement in the late 2000s. He and I authored The Castle on the Parkway (www.castleontheparkway.com). Mr. Ederheimer lives in one of those northern New York State counties that still have wild turkeys roaming. Mr. Leventhal retired many moons ago, lives in Queens, and for some reason stopped phoning me.

The DWC Quote Box:
On the one hand I experience this incredible beauty all around me, things I've seen every day of my life but have never seen--drops of dew on a spiderweb...On the other hand, I see our inability to connect with that beauty...I see in every pair of eyes this frustration, this fear that we're nothing but vapor or shadows, that we're skimming the surface of reality without ever touching it, without connecting to that--that intangible something, that deepness that makes all other beauty possible. - 'Blood of Heaven' --Bill Myers
